I watch the quiet moments — the glance that lingers, the laughter tucked between speeches, the tear that no one sees but everyone feels. I’m Amanda, a Richmond-based wedding photographer, mother, and storyteller, and for nearly a decade, I’ve captured these fleeting, in-between moments for couples across Virginia and beyond. My work sits at the intersection of documentary and editorial — cinematic, intimate, and a reflection of the real beauty of your day.
A Decade Behind the Camera
I’ve photographed weddings of every kind — intimate backyard ceremonies, modern city celebrations, mountain estate affairs, and everything in between. That experience allows me to anticipate moments before they happen, create calm amidst chaos, and intuitively read a room. Whether it’s golden sunset light or a sudden Virginia rainstorm, my focus is always the same: to create photographs that feel natural, beautiful, and entirely true to your day.
Why I Love What I Do
I met my now-husband in middle school, and even then, I noticed how a glance could speak volumes and laughter could linger long after. Around the same time, I began carrying disposable cameras everywhere, capturing the little adventures I shared with friends. That love of storytelling has stayed with me. Today, photographing weddings is my way of honoring the fleeting, beautiful moments that make hearts swell. My work is intentional and cinematic, balancing editorial composition with authentic emotion, designed to preserve not just the images, but the feeling of your day.
